They say a picture speaks a 1000 words. Then let the following pics do the talking.

The Body Shop Lip Oils

As winter continues to flirt with Delhi, I continue to flirt with lip balms. My newest acquisition is two of The Body Shop's 100% Natural lip oil - Orange and Mint. The other flavours available are Rose, Coconut & Berry. These cute roller ball babies have Community trade Soya oil and organic olive oil. They are non-waxy, non-sticky and the only way I can describe the feeling on my lips is that they feel quenched. At Rs. 310, the price might be a little steep for a lip balm, but you get 15% off if you buy two. And they will probably last you the whole winter, which I think makes it worth it. Loving it!

India goes Gaga

Lady Gaga is Entertainment personified. After all, she is known as much for her music as she is for her outrageous looks. There were a lot of expectations from her tour in India. And disappoint, she did not. At a press conference, her tribute to India was bizarre, seriously cool and something that only she could pull off. She streaked her hair orange and green and put up in a top knot! Check out the photos below.
But all said and done, I cannot take my eyes off the gorgeous Nadeem Khan gown she wore. What do you think? Love it or Hate it?

Hello, I am normal!

In this world of specifics and customizations, it's easy to overlook the obvious. Trying to cater to the oily skin, the dry skin and the combination skin, we normal skins are often ignored. Or worse, clubbed together with the dry skin where everything is so thick and gooey. Luckily summer and monsoon I can sail through with almost nothing but a sunscreen. (Well, there are benefits of being normal.) But then comes winter and as much as I love this season, I hate what it does to my skin. Dry skin products clog my pores and leave it oily and dull, and their oily skin counterparts cause nightmarish redness. Every winter, since moving to Delhi, I have looked for the perfect product but failed.
But this year might be different. It's only been a week since I have been using L'oreal's Hydrafresh range but I am very happy. I can smile without hurting my skin and I can touch my face all I want without feeling greasy and icky. The Aqua Cream contains Pure mineral Spa water from the French Vosges and gives a velvety smooth feel to the skin. The face wash is creamy and doesnt leave your face feeling tight. However, it doesn't do such a great job of removing makeup but I guess you can't have everything. The lip balm is rich and leaves the lips nourished for quite a long time.
My vote for this pink box says "Buy".

Maybelline Fruity Jelly

Watermelon Punch, Sparkling Grape, Cocoa Fever and Tempting toffee. Mmmmm………
Well, forgive me for falling for these yummy tubes. What can I say; I am a flavor-junkie. Admittedly, not the gloss to go to if you are looking for color as it is very, very sheer. However, it delivers on the high shine that the tube promises and smells, tastes and feels like heaven on the lips. Wear it while just hanging out with friends or over your favorite lip-color for a more formal scene. At just Rs 150, it's a must-buy!
